Emergency First Aid Courses - Frequently Asked Questions

Is HLTAID003 Provide first aid the same as workplace first aid or senior first aid, level 2 first aid?

Yes. There are many course names for what is essentially the same content. We deliver  the most current first aid module from the Health Training Package. It is called HLTAID003 Provide first aid.

What is the difference between you and St John or Red Cross?

There is not a great difference in course content, it comes down to cost and trainers ability to instruct the course in a fun but informative manner. Emergency First Aid is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) not a charity. All our trainers are dedicated first aid instructors and our course fees are generally lower.

Who provides accreditation for your courses?

Emergency First Aid courses are NATIONALLY RECOGNISED, which means that as an RTO we must meet Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Standards as overseen by Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

How long is my certificate valid?

Industry requirements state that competencies must be reassessed every every 3 years for all first aid units and  every 12 months for CPR and auto-injector updates.

What course do I need to do?

It depends on your workplace requirements, but the standard required in most workplaces is HLTAID003 Provide first aid.

Can I have a printed certificate to go with the standard issued email certificate?

Yes, we can send you a printed certificate if you require one. There is a $10.00 processing fee for this service. Please advise on enrolment if you require a printed certificate.
